David Gudgin 26 Round 2 28/05/2013

Round two of the David Gudgin series threatened to be just as wet as the first however the cycling gods were smiling on the Nomads as the rain halted about an hour before the event kicked off.

Five hardy Nomads chose to ignore the rain when packing their cars so as to compete in Round 2 of the 25 mile series. The competition requires that  riders post three times, out of the possible four, and for the average of their best three times to be proffered for consideration.

The course was once again the modified 26 mile course and whilst there was no rainfall during the event, the corners were wet and greasy so caution had to be applied whilst riding.

It was Andrew Herbert who posted the fastest time of the evening with a 1:03:01. Simon Doyle came home in second spot with James Gomm third.

With three times required over the series there are now six riders in contention for the 2013 Gudgin title.

Thanks goes to James Spence for timekeeping, Frank Turner for assisting, Clive Collins for pushing off and once again to Geoff Perry for supporting the riders and officials.
