19/06/2012 David Gudgin 25 Results

It was warm, sunny, the wind was but a gentile breeze.......and England were playing a crucial game in Euro 2012, which probably explains why the field for the third David Gudgin 25 was once again reduced to five riders. It was to be a night of good performances though.

Andrew Herbert was once again the man to beat with an impressive 1:00:52.

James Gomm improved on his 25 mile PB by over a minute.

Nick Hickman not only went under the 1:15:00 mark for the first time, but smashed his PB by over five minutes!

Clive Collins managed to get under the 1:15:00 mark despite riding 50 miles earlier in the day.

David Summerell put in a solid performance for his first 25 of the season.

They say statistics never lie, so it turns out if you ride the Hitchin Nomads 80 mile Sportive, then you are guaranteed to ride a PB the following Tuesday (feel free to use that quote for the 2013 Sportive poster)

A big thanks to Graham Lamming for working the stopwatches and to Richard Bland for Pushing Off duties and to Geoff Perry for support.
