The sun-kissed Bedforshire roads saw four of the area's leading time trialling squads battle it out on a demanding, three circuit loop of Southill and Old Warden. The second of the 2013 Interclub series saw Simon Norman (Bedfordshire Road CC) edge Nigel Hale (CC Ashwell) in to second place by 18 seconds. CC Ashwell dominated the top five places with Cameron Woolsey and Jason Stuart both going sub 1:10 for the distance. Beds Road CC controlled the places from 10 down to 30, showing strength in depth and proving that time trialling really has a great pool of riders in and around the Cardington based club's HQ.
Hitchin Nomads CC managed to place five riders in point scoring positions with Club Captain, Simon Doyle, posting 1:13:24 for seventh spot. Neil Bridgland, Steve Austin and Warren Richards all made their time trial debuts.
Icknield RC placed five riders in scoring positions with Oliver Cocks being first IRC rider past the timekeeper.

There is parking at the HQ. No parking allowed anywhere on the course. Do not warm up through the start line. £3.00
entry fee per rider to cover CTT levy and event costs.

Interclub 30 Results - 19/05/2012
The second event of the Interclub series was the 30 mile TT hosted by Hitchin Nomads. Although the roads were wet from the previous night's rain, the precipitation held off on race day. With only a gentile breeze to contend with it made for better conditions than many had expected.
Congratulations to John Friend of Beds Road CC who rode the fastest time of the day. A big thanks to all those who helped with the timekeeping, marshalling, catering and organising. The next Interclub event is the 15 mile TT hosted by Beds Road CC on Sunday 24th June at 8:00am. Fingers crossed for some sunshine (remember the big yellow thing that makes everything else hot?).

Interclub 30
The Interclub 30 mile time trial is scheduled for May 19 2012. The club needs as many riders as possible to compete in the event. Please contact Neil JJ Fraser to confirm that you are available. As we are the host club we will also need marshals and HQ helpers.

Interclub 30 and 2-up time trial
The date for the Interclub 30 has now been confirmed as Saturday 19th May 2012, so please add it to you diaries. Also don't forget that it is the 2-up time trial this Saturday with the first rider off at 08:30 (so try and arrive by 08:15 at the latest).

Timekeeping
We are still looking for volunteers to assist in the timekeeping this season, so anyone who is interested in helping should come down to either this event or the Medium Gear the following Saturday (24th March 2012) and Frank Turner will show you the ropes (remember without timekeepers we would be unable to put on the Time Trials and we're not expecting people to do all the events, just a few to help spread the responsibility).
