Mass confusion was caused at the start of this evening's Time Trial by a large bright object in the sky which seemed to increase the ambient air temperature by about 15degC compared with the previous Tuesday. Fortunately one of the riders recognised it from a picture he had seen in a travel magazine and confirmed that it was in fact something called "The Sun"  - and that it was safe to ride a bike under it.

Andrew Herbert reclaimed the top spot this week only a second off his PB for the course, and only circa nine seconds (TBC) off the course record, so watch this space.

As with Formula 1 the best action was in the middle of the field with only 31 seconds splitting six riders.
