Time trial round up - 07 July 2013

Hitchin Nomads CC time triallists were out in force this week. The squad continues to improve with more riders than ever representing the club across the region.
On Wednesday (3rd July) Andrew Herbert led a triumvirate which included Michael Webb and Warren Richards in the Whitewebbs CC evening 10 mile time trial. Richards continues to improve at the discipline in what is still his rookie season. Webb suffered from some mechanical issues but managed to produce a sub-24 minute ride for the first time this season. Herbert's 21.21 is the quickest time for the club's riders this year.
Results: A Herbert 21.21, M Webb 23.21, W Richards 24.11.
On Saturday 6th July 2013, the Nomads were again in action with six riders competing in the Team Corley open 10 mile time trial based on the F15/10 Brogborough course. The conditions were warm but somewhat stifling but the Nomads saw their times improve in comparison to previous races on this course. Andy Herbert once again led the charge but "last three season" PBs from Simon Doyle and James Gomm made this a day for a celebratory shandy once the riders had finally cooled off. The event was won by Simon Norman of Beds Road CC (21.05).

Results: Andrew Herbert 22.00 (8th), Simon Doyle 22.46 (20th), James Gomm 23.38 (39th), Michael Webb 24.33 (52nd), Warren Richards 24.44 (54th), David Rossall 32.39 (puncture) (79th).
